I have been lucky to have met the talented Emji Saint Spero (@homopathetic) through my talented work buddy, artist Jeremy +/- Kennedy (@table_blue). Emji is an artist/ poet/ curator of Communicator Series & author of Disgust & Almost Any Sh*t Will Do. They know Joseph Mosconi who is a poet, publisher of beautiful books, advocate of other poets & artists. He co-directs many events through Poetic Research Bureau at 2220 Arts+Archives in Los Angeles. I got to document the events & each performance has been deep, passionate, personal & sometimes funny (Patty B Gone). In a time when there is much discussion on Trans Rights I highly recommend to go to the source & LISTEN to their stories which is why these events are so important. I’ve learned a lot & even in the queer community it is good to listen to other people’s experiences because each is unique.
