Maria Ramirez-Adams
Fine Art Photographer / Director / Cinematographer
About
As a child I thought I would be a stuntwoman when I grew up but then one night I saw a documentary on fashion photography on TV & was completely riveted. The show inspired my love for photography & art. Photography as given me the tools to capture moments & create art from light into beautiful fine art prints & films.
I was a Texas girl whose passion lead me to Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles, CA where I embraced my Chicana roots & developed a series of self portraits & start documenting the city where I currently live & work. As a multimedia artist I enjoy using my camera to create stills & films, making prints & websites to share the stories of the people & places I’ve encountered like “…the mad ones. The ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved…” Kerouac
I currently produce, direct, edit short form documentary style films like Katydom which is on the film festival circuit.
