Roger Gastman has made Beyond the Streets global with exhibitions in LA, NY, London & Shanghai focusing on legendary & emerging street artists. A flagship space with a great gift shop was opened in Los Angeles in 2022 & I’ve been to 2 shows so far.

Mister Cartoon, aka Mark Machado is a tattoo & graffiti artist based in Los Angeles, CA. His style of art is part of the Chicano Art movement inspired by the fine line tattoo style developed in California prisons & pinstripping.
Teen Angel & Estevan Oriol "Dedicated to You"
Teen Angel was an indie zine that focused on Chicano culture started by David Holland, a California based artist. It featured art & photos celebrating pachuco culture, lowriders, cholo street culture, fashion, tattoos & prison art.
Estevan Oriol is a photographer & director from Los Angeles. His career took off when he became tour manger for Cypress Hill & House of Pain. He started documenting life on the road which turned into a prolific portfolio of the Hip Hop music scene & Chicano culture of that time. His distinctive style attracted many more artists & collaberations including music videos.

The title says it all. Estevan directed a documentary on the life long friendship & creative endeavors that he & Mark Machado have gone through with many famous faces sharing their impact in the artworld. Available to watch on Netflix.
